Bindery Journal Exceptions Workflow
for individuals tasked with reviewing exception requests

• EAST retention? Review bibliographic record to see if the journal has a retention committment; if so, binding is appropriate

• EDS Holdings Management Review EDS Holdings Management to see where the journal is accessible; there will also be an indication for Open Access

• Portico Check Portico to see if the titles shows a Status of “Preserved”; confirm that we have an online subscription and if not, give the information to the Acquisitions Coordinator to update subscription to online only, if available; we do not bind journals preserved in Portico
