No Items Remaining In UMA50
This document outlines the process for preparing monographs for transfer to the Depository. Monographs will then be coded and boxed by students.
ALEPH tab settings (upper left corner of screen) should be as follows. The entire process can be done in UMA50 but DEP50 is required for wanding in a barcode for a DEP50 item.
Wand in Barcode in Aleph’s Item line.
Unlink Item from HOL.
Delete Item.
Push to Bib.
Change Bib OWN to DP, Save. Check for LKR fields.
Double click UMA50 record and delete.
Double-click ITEMS under DEP50 (last item on Bib tree, lower left screen)
Click NEW for new item.
Fill in the following item tab 2 fields (by macro):
Sublibrary = FCDPT
Collection = FCDPM
Material Type = BOOK
Call Number Type = 8
Description and Enum Level1 filled in for multiple volumes. (This is important. Our student won't catch it.)
Item Status = 01 for regular monographs
Item Process Status = TR (In transit) or TD (In transit to FC Depository)
Check Temporary Location Box.
Fill in under item tab 3:
If boxing items (by macro): Internal note field should display box number, “Box ### - date - initials” and any bindery notes should be deleted.
If single item, enter into Internal note field: umass
Click item tab 6: Link item to HOL record.
Edit HOL record.
OWN field changed to DP.

Save HOL record changes.
