The Note field and associated fields are used to make clear the relationships between the fields or why a term in the record was used if some subtlety is lost when parsing information into separate fields. Try to include the source of the information recorded in the field.

The Note field is free text field used to make clear the relationships between the fields or why a term in the record was used if some subtlety is lost when parsing information into separate fields.

This field can be used when preferred terms or variants from controlled vocabualaries do not include words that are anticipated to be used as search terms. Because this field can be searched on the front end of Luna, include here notes for when a faculty member uses an image for comparanda for another work even though there is not formal relationship between the two.

Include here any local notes only appropriate to the ICL, e.g. “This images needs to be recorrected”. Typically admin notes will be internal notes about workflow, not used for display or searching from the front end of Luna.
