NACA Publications Cataloging and Processing – Review with Rebecca R-Z HISTORICAL INFORMATION DO NOT USE – Ann Kardos 8/6/2023
SEARCHING AND CATALOGING
Search all NACA publications in OCLC Connexion.
1. If there is no OCLC record, give our copy to Cindy Spell. She will create a new record for OCLC and download it to ALEPH where it will be given a holdings record for the Five College Depository Library. (Sublibrary FCDPT, Collection FCDPM)
2. If there is an OCLC record with only one holding library worldwide, catalog our copy. Download the record to ALEPH, change the OWN from UM to DP, and add an item/holdings record for the Five College Library Depository.*
3. If there is an OCLC record with 2 or more holding libraries worldwide, one of which is in U.S.A, set our copy aside for possible discard/or cataloging. Cindy will review these and keep count of all discards.
4. All cataloged NACAs will go to the Five College Library Depository. They will not be stamped, targeted or given a plate and will be sent to the Depository as is.
