   * Notices of available upgrades to the EZProxy software are announced on the Listserv. Do not be hasty in requesting load of upgrades unless a bug fix is urgently needed. Each upgrade contains all previous upgrades. There is no risk in skipping one. LTS manages the EZProxy server and handles the upgrade process as well as the SSL certificate. If you are unsure of the status of either, check the EZProxy web admin - information about both are listed at the top of the page.   * Notices of available upgrades to the EZProxy software are announced on the Listserv.  +  * If campus IT reaches out to say the SAML certificate is expiring, ask them to generate a new certificate and pull it in by refreshing the metadata:
+     - Check ''config.txt'' to make sure there is a metadata retrieval URL in the ''shibboleth'' section; ''-URL=''
+     - If it does, log in to EZproxy admin.
 +     - Click Manage Shibboleth.
+     - Click Refresh Metadata and wait for confirmation.
+        * If for some reason there is no longer a retrieval URL in the config file, put the metadata in a file and copy it to the correct location (tbd where that is) in the EZproxy directory.
