University Libraries Annual Reception Celebrating the Irma McClaurin Black Feminist Archive

Illustration of black women and flowers emerging from an open book. Pink crinkled paper background. Text: "Irma McClaurin Black Feminist Archive."

Join us on October 19 as the UMass Amherst Libraries celebrates the Irma McClaurin Black Feminist Archive. A centerpiece of the Robert S. Cox Special Collections and University Archives Research Center’s work chronicling the history of social change in America, the BFA ensures that the lives and achievements of Black women and their allies are visible and heard in the historical record. This special celebration will feature an exhibit of new and significant materials within the BFA’s collections, a silent auction of Dr. McClaurin’s own photographs of Black icons, and a performance by acclaimed singer Connie Fredericks-Malone.
