UMass Amherst Libraries Host Author Sky Otter for “Winter Dreaming: An Experiential Workshop”

Sky Otter.The UMass Amherst Libraries host “Winter Dreaming: An Experiential Workshop,” with Sky Otter, on Friday, February 7, 2-4 p.m., in the Science and Engineering Library Learning Studio. The workshop is free and open to all, with no registration required.

The workshop offers the opportunity to “co-create community, tap into ancestral wisdom, and sink into a restorative space that invites personal and collective dreams to emerge.”

Sky Otter has dedicated his life to building an Earth-honoring culture. He has led hundreds of spiritual ecology workshops and has 25 years of experience in Vipassana meditation and extensive training with Siberian shamans. Sky has partnered with and designed experiential workshops with authors and teachers including such as Joanna Macy, John Perkins, Llyn Roberts, Cathy Pedevillano, and John Seed. He has also spent much time in the US Southwest learning about Native medicine ways and the crucial importance of the petroglyphs and pictographs. His book, Wild Earth, Wild Soul: A Manual for an Ecstatic Culture, has been met with high acclaim.
