Libraries’ New Website & System Information for Fall 2022

In July, the Libraries, along with our Five College Consortia, announced our migration to FOLIO, an open-source system, which supports improved access to scholarly resources. This migration has provided many benefits including patrons being able to see all of their loans throughout the Five Colleges in one place and to borrow equipment from other Five Colleges schools. At the end of spring semester, we also unveiled a redesigned library website, which prioritizes access to our most used services, such as course reserves.  

To assist our patrons with this transition, we have compiled answers to frequently asked questions that may be on your mind, such as the Privacy Policy and the new way to access “My Account.”  

We will be integrating training on accessing loans, renewals, and placing requests during student and faculty orientations, in-person assistance through our Info Desk, Learning Commons, and within classes where we are providing instruction.  

Thankfully, you need not remember all this information! Your first line of support is your liaison librarian who is ready to answer any questions.
