Jeffrey Rothenberg Named Lead Fundraiser for the Libraries
The Libraries are pleased to welcome Jeffrey Rothenberg as executive director of development for the Libraries. He joins the team September 12, 2022.
In the role, Rothenberg leads fundraising and donor activities. He works closely with Dean Nandita Mani, the development and communication team, and staff throughout the Libraries to create and implement a strategic plan focused on significantly increasing the impact of philanthropic support to support students, faculty, and the Commonwealth.
Before joining UMass, Rothenberg was vice president of development for the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library, supporting the quest to build a library for the 26th president of the United States. Previously, he served as vice president of development for the Sigma Chi Foundation, focused on excellence in academic scholarship and leadership at 250 colleges and universities in North America.
Rothenberg earned a bachelor’s in business administration from American University and a master’s of business administration from the University of Connecticut. He is a graduate of Amherst Regional High School and lives in Great Barrington, Mass., with his spouse and two children.
